The Master Suite addition was several years in the making, requiring many research trips to spas and retreat centers around the country! At last, it was time to select the materials that met the contemporary-yet-rustic aesthetic: rough hewn slate, polished concrete heated floors, one continuous hefty plank of reclaimed teak for the countertop, and a soaking tub overlooking the redwood forest. Every window has a private landscaped view. The water closet is enclosed by a custom teak door on a barn-door hardware track. This Master Bath is a sanctuary of Calm.
