Los Altos Hills KitchenThis wrap-around, command-central kitchen island uses base cabinet drawers for glassware and dinnerware, filling in for reduced upper cabinetry. Wrapping around the island is the glass mosaic vine, which carries over to the cooking center, with countertop-to-ceiling mosaic in red, taupe and green variegated glass. Nanawall glass doors flanking both sides of the kitchen open and collapse into 15-foot openings to outdoor rooms in both the front and the back of the house; this is truly an indoor-to-outdoor home. Bronze SpectraDecor drawer pulls with red-orange shell inlays accent the grey-wash cabinetry. Custom metal and wood table is paired with orange leather four-hour chairs, i.e. chairs that keep people at the table comfortably, so the conversation spell isn't broken by moving to the living room after dinner. |
